The Gospel Message Radio Ministry History
The Gospel Message Radio Ministry first started as a high German radio program “Die Evangelische Botschaft” (Gospel message). It was first aired on Altona Manitoba’s CFAM radio station in March of 1957!
This is a picture of Pastor John D Friesen who became the voice of The Gospel Message Radio in 1961.
This is a picture of Pastor Ed Martens who took over being the on air radio personality for The Gospel Message in 1991.
This is a picture of Wes Heppner who took over being the on air radio personality for The Gospel Message in 2020.
The Gospel Message is supported by the Sommerfeld Mennonite Church in Manitoba and in Seminole TX, the Zion Mennonite Church from Manitoba, the Bergthaler Church in Saskatchewan, and the gifts, that you the listeners give.
The program is led by a board made up of members of these 3 churches
Our goal of the program is to spread the gospel to all nations, that all can hear the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and that people would be saved through the work done by the Spirit of God through this radio program
